The Scroll

The Scroll πŸ“œ is opened

Which scroll on the New Testament was written on both sides (within and without)?

β€œA hand” appeared to hand a scroll to Ezekiel before the destruction of Judah by the wrath of God. The hands of God had appeared earlier to Beltshazzar of Babylon.

Daniel 5:5 In the same hour came forth the fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

From Scripture the hand of God does weighing and comparing to His own expectations. In Ezekiel He judged King Zedekiah and in Daniel He judged a Gentile, Belshazzar, in this regard there is no difference between Jews or Gentiles. There is One Judge and He is Holy.

Revelation 5:1 I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written within and on the back, sealed shut with seven seals.

In Revelation the scroll is opened with writings within and without.

Revelation 5:1 I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written within and on the back, sealed shut with seven seals.

Sounding mighty familiar so far.

In 593BC, the Word of God appeared to the 30 year old Ezekiel in the fifth year of Nebuchadnezzar on his throne.

The prophecy given to Ezekiel to prophesy and lament over Judah 4 years before Bavel besieged the fortified City to destroy it after warning after warning was given to Israel. It was a direct result of their denial of YHVH in repentance from bloodshed and playing the harlot.

The Churches must heed now.

Bavel sent a destroyer to destroy Judah

Except this time it shall be for the Church (testing) and the world over.

Are you ready for this?

Ezekiel 2:9 When I looked, behold, a hand was put forth to me; and, behold, a scroll of a book was therein;

Ezekiel 2:10 He spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

We shall repent to the Lord now
