“I and my Father are one.”
Today and no other previous times do we hear people who “figured out” the “real names” of the Father and the Son. That is not derived from the Scripture. The concordance only explains the word for word root meanings. The concordance does not form a truth all by itself. Do not brush away the teaching of the Holy Spirit of God. People who rely on gnosticism, salvation from learning acquired knowledge, to them I say, Keep looking for God.
The Word alone is all sufficient to bear all true witness to God.
In multiple places in the Tanakh, the writer switches between “He” and then “You”. There is the most obvious reason to the whole Gospel believers. Jesus says, unless you become like the children you won’t see the kingdom of God. I am like a kid. A commentary is not necessarily.
A child can see who are in the verse above. Father and His Word spoke in unison: I AM the first, I AM the last, and beside me there is no Elohiym.
The kedoshim, the redeemed, the anointed, we understand why that is. David was the one whom Jesus quoted to say,
‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies beneath your feet.’
In the well known Psalm 23, David was speaking of an experience where he addressed two individuals.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for
thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
David in Psalm 23 turned from speaking of the One who restored his soul and who led him to the path (The Way) of righteousness, to the One who promised to be by his side, who hold the Shepherd’s staff (rod) providing comfort to him.
The Word was the one who promised Joshua to be with him. He is also the Good Shepherd. “I AM the Good Shepherd.”
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Jesus is Elohiym, we praise you Father.
