Question: Will the Rosh HaShanah on September 18 2020 usher in the Yovel? 2020 has been nothing less of spectacular with 4 comets visiting earth, a bio-wmd slip, a pandemic, a stock market reset, blm, ppe, ppp, wildfires, and on it goes. Many things were forced a ”release”. This dovetails into Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s The Harbinger, except it is not in 2015. Nothing happened in 2015. All the predictions came in spring 2020.
The Sinai Mandate
From year 1 of Moshe and the bnei YisraEl in the Sinai Peninsula wilderness, a set of Mitzvot (Laws) were revealed by YHVH Almighty. They constituted the Torah (Instruction). The Jubilee year is the 50th year of a cycle, and the year after the counting of the previous 7-year period, from a larger set of 7 X 7 periods of years, known as the sabbath year in the Church, originally known as the Shmita (a count of ‘’7’’) to messianics and to the Jews. All was revealed by YHVH on Mount Sinai in year one to the bnei YisraEl. We are the standard bearers made by Adonai. We, YisraEl, are called to be a light to the nations. Even in Matthew 5 the multitides that Y’shua spoke to from the mount were all Jews.
Adonai laid it all out in V’Yiqara (Leviticus) 25. To me, reading down the mitzvot in the chapter, the mandate for the Yovel is held up as obedience to the true God. And if the people (not from the world) also break this set of mitzvot, then it is justifiable for His judgment to descend per the Torah. And if His people will comply and obey, His blessings will be promised. And as far as the world is concerned, they will do well as sinners to obey the Torah, because Law exists where the sinners dwell. Paul puts it this way in Romiym 7 – to those who know the Torah, you bet. That is us, the messianics. In analogizing that the Husband (YHVH) was dead, Yisrael was released from the Law. That means all of Yisrael, believing or secular.
Or do you not know, brothers (for I am speaking to those who know the law), that the law is master of a person for as long a time as he lives? 2 For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of the husband. 3 Therefore as a result, if she belongs to another man while[a] her husband is living, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress if she[b] belongs to another man. 4 So then, my brothers, you also were brought to death with respect to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to the one who was raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, sinful desires were working through the law in our members, to bear fruit for death. 6 But now we have been released from the law, because we[c] have died to that by which we were bound, so that we may serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter of the law.
Let’s read for ourselves V’Yiqara 25, only 2 chapters from the chapter that mandates the weekly Shabbat and all the other Moedim Shabbats around the calendar. The Shofar sounding was first indicated in Yovel (Jubilee Year—Lev. 25:8–13). Indeed, in Rosh Hashanah on the tenth, His people are to sound the shofar.
Yovel (Jubilee Year)-The Sabbath Year
1 Then[a] Yahweh spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai,[b] saying,2 “Speak to the Israelites,[c] and say to them, ‘When you[d] 📌📌come into the land that I am about to give to you,[e] then[f] the land shall observe a Sabbath for Yahweh.THE SHMITA (7 years) Mitvah 3 Six years you[g] shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and you shall gather its yield. 4 But[h] in the seventh year it shall be a Sabbath of complete rest[i] for the land—a Sabbath for Yahweh; you[j] must not sow your field, and you must not prune your vineyard. 5 You[k] must not reap your harvest’s aftergrowth, and you must not harvest the grapes of your unpruned vines—it shall be a year of complete rest[l] for the land. 6 And a Sabbath of the land shall be for food for you:[m] for you[n] and for your slave and for your slave woman and for your hired worker and for your temporary residents[o] who are dwelling as aliens with you; 7 and all its yield shall be for your[p] domestic animal and for the wild animal, which are in your land to eat.The Year of Yovel (Jubilee)8 “‘And you[q] shall count for yourself seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years, and they shall be for you time periods of[r] years: forty-nine[s] years. 9 And you[t] shall cause a loud horn blast[u] to be heard on the 📌 seventh month on the tenth of the month [note. On Yom Kippur]; on the Day of Atonement you[v] shall cause a ram’s horn to be heard in all your[w] land.10 And you[x] shall consecrate the 📌fiftieth year[note, the yhear following]📌, and you shall proclaim a release in the land for all its inhabitants. It is a Jubilee; it shall be for you, and you shall return. You must return—everyone to his property and everyone to his clan.[y] 11 You[z] shall have the fiftieth year as a Jubilee;[aa] you must not reap its aftergrowth, and you must not harvest its unpruned vines. 12 Because it is a Jubilee, it shall be holy to you. You must eat its[ab] produce from the field.13 “‘In this Year of Jubilee each of you[ac] shall return[ad] to his property.Buy And Sell Mitzvah14 And when you[ae] sell something to your[af] fellow citizen or you buy from your[ag] neighbor’s hand, you[ah] must not oppress one another.[ai] 15 You[aj] must buy from your fellow citizen according to the number of years after the Jubilee; he must sell to you according to the number of years of yield. 16 You[ak] must increase its price according to a greater number of years,[al] but[am] you must decrease its price according to a lesser number of years,[an] because he is selling its yields to you. 17 And you[ao] must not oppress one another,[ap] but[aq] you[ar] shall revere your God, because I am Yahweh, your[as] God.
Grace exists in YHVH’s family to the sons and daughter
To declare the year of the “yovel” does not have to be specifically from a ram. The preferred animal for this shofar blowing is a “yael” ( goat). The word seh is a gender-neutral term that refers a young goat or sheep. In the Torah, there are offerings that used a goat.
Adonai has divinely settled many of His people in divers parts of the world. In many host nations, they spread their roots. In America alone, there are as many Jews as there are in the whole State of Israel. In this light, let us read the remaining verses.
18 “‘And you[at] shall 📌do my statutes, and you must keep my regulations, and you shall do them, so that[au] you shall live securely[av] on the land. 19 And the land shall give its fruit, and you[aw] shall eat your fill,[ax] and you shall live securely[ay] on it. 20 And if you[az] should say, “What shall we eat in the seventh year, if[ba] we do not sow and we do not gather its yield?” 21 then[bb] I will command my blessing for you[bc] in the sixth year, so that[bd] it will make[be] the yield for three years. 22 And you[bf] will sow in the eighth year, and you shall eat from the old yield;[bg] until the ninth year, until the coming of its yield, you shall eat the old yield.
The condition is such that if Israel will do His statutes and keep His regulations, the favor is in the security of the abode and the yielding of fruit, including financial abundance.
For whether Yovel is determined in 2020 on September 18 or the sighting of the new moon over Jerusalem, we may need to observe in 2021 whether the stock market will crash if His people do not come to obediently accept of the mandate of the Yovel.
