First of all, it is Scripture. It is not a town though. It is a state, the state of Apostasia, where former Christians are no longer Christians. I know them in person. If they will, they may write the chapters of what happened to them in a new book.
I imagine one day I will meet someone whose heart used to be on fire for Christ. But his words of late are just plain par for the course as the world. I imagine I greet him, “How are things in Apostasia?”, “Are you filled with joy?”.A time of Apostasia was written by Paul. It must come. If the Apostasia does not manifest, then two necessary things would not happen.
- The son of perdition, the man of lawlessness, will have his undercover yanked from him by the Holy Spirit at the appointed time. His ID will be made open.
- The Lord Jesus Christ will come to take His elect away the world.
In order for the Messiah to charge His angels to gather up the elect from the four winds (Matthew 24| 30 -31) to take to the sky, Apostasia first must happen, followed by the revealing of the man of lawlessness.
The Arrival of the Son of Man
29 “And immediately after the tribulation of those days,
‘the sun will be darkened
and the moon will not give its light,
and the stars will fall from heaven,
and the powers of heaven will be shaken.’[p]
30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven,[q] and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven[r] with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect together from the four winds, from one end of heaven[s] to the other end of it.
Types Of Apostasy
n. apostasia: defection, revoltOriginal Word: ἀποστασία, ας, ἡ.
is happening in many spheres in the last age. Where there is mention of an apostasia, there is a people movement from A to B.
In itself it is just a word. It means defection and revolution. So is it possible, I ask, when Paul brings up Apostasia, could he be making a reference on all types of apostasia? If he was, then we are looking at all of them today.
When a Christian exits organized denominational religions, it is good Apostasia. E.g. If Bob leaves the Catholic Church and walk away from the Jesuits, he is to be congratulated for his good Apostasia.
Revelation 18| 4, YHVH charges believers to leave Mystery Babylon and never to return to fall into her plagues.
When a boy who grew up Jewish, being taught to spread rumors about Jesus and then by the Ruwach’s mighty revelation, he became a believer in Messiah. He leaves organized religion – Judaism – it is good Apostasia against Mystery Babylon and Kabbalah.
When a Gentile for no other reason but to join a bandwagon called the Hebrew Roots, to decide to become a spiritual Hebrew, without genetic or marital claims, as required by the Torah, it is bad Apostasia.
When a Christian leaves the faith in Christ, the cornerstone of the Kingdom (not of the Church, an erroneous teaching), he or she is joined also to Apostasia. It is bad Apostasia. This is the common understanding of 2 Thessalonians 2| 4.
Zion (1 Peter 2|7) is the building that is founded upon that Cornerstone that is Christ. The kingdom of God is founded on His own only begotten Son. The word in the Koine Greek manuscript is akrogōniaiou. Peter used the word twice and Paul once in Ephesians 2, referring to the household of God, again, not the Church. Yeshua founded the Church. He did not “come from the Church”. It is like saying Yeshua is a Christian. Forget about all the churches that emerged out of denominations calling themselves Cornerstone. They are not Zion. They are a part of the household of God but the Church is not in entirety the household of God. In His Father’s House there are many mansions.
Now we move from Cornerstone to the complete opposite concept. Apostasia appears only two times in the New Covenant. It means defection and revolt. Those who join the Apostasia defect from Christ and revolt God as a believer, a Christian or as anyone in the Church. Now, having said that, departure from a religion, any religion, Buddhism, Islam, Baha’i, LDS, Jehovah Witnesses, Scientology, the charismatic movement, the NAR, Methodist, Lutheran, Roman Cathocism, it is all good! Go ahead. For it is a charge from God to get out of Mystery Babylon and never return. Institionalized religions are all pieces of Mystery Babylon. A direct relationship with God through Christ is the only true faith. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying,
“Come out from her, my people,
so that you will not participate in her sins,
and so that you will not receive her plagues,
5 because her sins have reached up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
Before Apostasia was used by Paul, Luke used the same word in Acts 21. Let’s start higher up to examine the proper meaning in context. Luke wrote to support Paul’s ministry to the Gentiles as a defense manifesto for Theophilus.
18 And on the next day Paul went in with us to James, and all the elders were present. 19 And after[aa] greeting them, he began to relate[ab] one after the other[ac] the things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry. 20 And when[ad] they heard this,[ae] they began to glorify[af] God. And they said to him, “You see, brother, how many ten thousands there are among the Jews who have believed, and they are all zealous adherents of the law. 21 And they have been informed about you that you are teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles the abandonment[Apostasia] of Moses, telling them not to circumcise their[ag] children or to live according to our[ah] customs .
James and the elders repeated the rumors that they had heard about Paul. They instructed as the elders of Jerusalem to Paul to quell the rumors as follows:
24 Take these men and[al] purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses[am] so that they can shave their[an] heads, and everyone will know that the things which they had been informed about you are nothing, but you yourself also agree with observing the law.
The rumors said Paul was teaching the Gentiles to [Apostasia] defect, or revolt from Moses by telling them not to perform Brith Mila, the covenant of the foreskin circumcision, are false, then and today.
These two men were buddies and contemporaries. Their choice of word for apostasia is identical. Much as the rumormongers spread a vicious rumor that Paul was teaching Gentile to revolt against Moses, those in the Thessalonica Epistle are revolting.
The next time the word is used is by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2. Paul was comforting the folk at Thessalonica about the Gathering to come. They had thought they they missed it and they were distraught during a time when the Roman empire outlawed The Way. Disciples were growing at a time of immense and brutal persecution.
So Paul said, stay put, hold up! Two things must happen before the Gathering takes place and they had not happened yet. One of them is the defection of the Church and the revolution of those who will defect from the faith.
The Man of Lawlessness Will Be Revealed
2 Now we ask you, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to him, 2 that you not be easily shaken from your composure, nor be troubled either by a spirit or by a message or by a letter alleged to be from us[a], to the effect that the day of the Lord has arrived. 3 Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and who exalts himself over every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits down in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God.
During the bad Apostasia, many Christians turned away from the words said by Jesus in the Gospel accounts. Unfortunately, they are on their way out. The trajectory tells us that they go on doing what they having been doing, being un-holy. AW Tozer prefaced that with the rut and then comes the rot unless one changes course.
I read their posts daily on fb. It is very frustrating to see them live a double life. They find other people to bear their torches in whichever subject that they feel is important to them but the subject is ungodly.
14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one statement, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”[d]15 But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another. – Paul, Galatians 5
The works of our hands and the words on our lips reveal the fruit of our “tree”. It is not what goes into our mouths that defile us, but what comes out of it.
“Hear and understand: 11 It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth—this defiles a person.” – Yeshua, Matthew 15
it is feasible that there are some who read without understanding. And to the Lord, we each must answer this question. Do we understand what He is saying?
Our speech demonstrate what is on the inside of that soul. It may falter. And when it does it is a list of ungodliness in sum, on par with a foul disbeliever from the worldly system. I find words that reveal a character (the Bible calls a person as a tree in all its seasons) that is like a poisoned tree with fruit that is spiteful, complaining, griping, unforgiving; or a tree that is pitifully twisted with fruit that is entitling, narcissistic, preferring oneself over the welfare of others. I check my fruit development to Galatians and make the necessary course change where I must. It says feelings are deceptive to us (v. 24). Many people act upon their feelings and it became a snare to lure them down the fast, slippery slope of departure.
19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are sexual immorality, impurity, licentiousness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, things which I am telling you in advance, just as I said before, that the ones who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ[e][f] have crucified the flesh together with its feelings and its desires.25 If we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit. 26 We must not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
There is a warning for the townsfolk of Apostasia in Romans 1. Each townsman and townswoman is to be found un-rightesous outside of Christ for holding their self-righteousness. Their impiety, or unfaithfulness, was what led them off the Narrow Path to Apostasia. The ones who rejects over and over helpful critique says, “Don’t judge me.” And the one who resists correction have only themselves and their companions to question, “What happened?”
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all impiety and unrighteousness of people, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what can be known about God is evident among[h] them, for God made it clear to them.
And my observation of them enables me to write the thought today. They are drifting further and further away from God long ago. You don’t choose your father and mother, brothers and sisters. But we do choose our the company that we keep. Many of us choose a choir to keep for company. It feels safe. It is reaffirming of common core beliefs. But they may also be deceived. That is how they arrived in the town of Apostasia, en masse.
Apostasia is not found on the map. You won’t find it even if you want to visit it. But your heart will lead you to find Apostasia. It is a remote wilderness without a sign. Do not expect to find a sign that says, Apostasia, exit 666. It allows the town to grow out of anonymity. It owes its success like a quicksand, without warning those who pass by it. It will draw the interested party in slowly. But it is so far away from the Kingdom that Christ came to call those who are willing to enter.
The climate of Apostasia is dry and and the cityscape is desolate in every street and turn. But there are buildings without a cross on the top that they call church in this town. They meet many more of the un-holy companions in Apostasia. They agree on many things and there they come together and form their own Church. They continue to talk “about” God and quote Scripture to each other, but upon close scrutiny, these are also the Scripture that they don’t even obey. There is no worship, no repentance, no turning back to the Glorious Path. People there will say they pray but they really don’t visit the throne room of the Most High. There is an attendance record for visitors but their names had no check-in.
We must judge others with a clear conscience after we removed our beams. And that folks, is how it happened. Messiah says this to Ephesus in Revelation 2.
3 And you have patient endurance, and have endured many things because of my name, and have not become weary. 4 But I have this against you: that you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the works you did at first[a]. But if you do not, I am coming to you, and I will remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
To the citizens in the town of Apostasia, 9 out of 10 of them are long time Christians. Most of them will tell you that they stagnated in growth. They turn to the emergent churches and the ideas that are unfounded in Scripture. They have only left the faith.
Sometimes it is not entirely by will. The folk that live in Apostasia are not “ex”-Christians, no one denounced Christ. There is another town for the Ex-Xstians. For Christ says, they have endured many things because of the name of Jesus. Some in Apostasia may have been Sunday school teachers, some may be preachers, some may be missionaries, some may just be the everyday soccer moms and dads hard at work feeding the family. Some may be young adults who used to attend church on Sun-day with their parents. But since they turned independent, they hang with a new crowd. Some of them signed up to Black Lives Matter. Some practice and accommodate LGBTQ legislation. Some tell others to burn their face coverings in the stop against the spread of the new virus. But all of them lost the quality of love when they turned from the Mandate of loving one another. Church is not about attendance, and meeting and greeting. Anyone who sincerely comes to worship must give all of himself to worship.
23 But an hour is coming—and now is here[h]—when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for indeed the Father seeks such peopleto be his worshipers. 24 God is spirit, and the ones who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” – Yeshua, John 4
To render such a sanctioned form of worship toward YHVH is not geographical. It is in a state of. Just like Apostasia is not a real town. It is a state of denial of the rule of Christ and turning away from bowing to Him and Him alone.
Often it is those who put the reason for church on the “meet and greet” that miss out on the worship of the Almighty Highest God when they enter His house of prayer on any given Sun-day.
Now having laid out the state and the mindset, and the heart condition above introducing Apostasia amidst today’s worldview, for it is the time for it to come to pass. Next, we shall address a more terrifying reality.
We shall move on quickly to the next event. The man of lawlessness will appear after Apostasia has begun. He will pop up as the sheriff of Apostasia. His motorcade will begin in Apostasia and will spread out to the rest of the world to win his following. He shall boast that he has the support of the list of names found in Apostasia. If you think this whole thing was just a plandemic, then the Sheriff will confirm yeah, it is a plandemic. No one died. He will be who you want to be. It sounds familiar. His father did that to Chava in the gan Ayden. She bought it, that angel of light so bedazzling to her eyes.
7 for we live by faith, not by sight— 2 Corinthians 5| 7
But when you have lost your faith, your only device left will be your eyes.
His identity is finally revealed, when God says so. Christ says endure to the end, but not endure without love. None of the above is anything new in the Covenant. The Holy Spirit has never pared down the commands in the New Covenant. Those who have been on cruise control on the greatest hits of Scripture missed out all the connecting verses which bind everything and hold all the whole truth together as the instruction proper of God.
Therefore, there is some grace to be left for the town of Apostasia. For Christ says, “Remember from where you have fallen”. Go back to the time in your life where you took the fork to the left. Start from beginning. Humility may be handy in soul searching. Take some with you. Christ will look for proof, for He says, “Do the works you did at first”. Anything less than that, He will come in Person to remove their lamp stands from them.
Repentance is key.
