As we investigate together, we are beginning to see the lines connecting Sukkot the holy feast-week and for its instructions regarding bringing fruits to God; the pruning and the severing of branches in the Vine Tree (John 15| 2) and the rebellion that Paul wrote of in 2 Thessalonians 2, which is necessary in order to have the man of lawlessness revealed. The New Covenant from the Gospel according to Matthew to Galatians, and even to Revelation have mentions of each quality of fruits and the outcome of each category in the hands of the Almighty.
In Leviticus 23 we have heard this command. And we heed it.
‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, this shall be the Feast of Booths for seven days for Yahweh. 35 On the first day there shall be a holy assembly; you must not do any regular work.[bj] 36 For seven days you must present an offering made by fire to Yahweh.
For all seven days, the worshipers are to present an offering made by fire to YHVH. In the New Covenant, it does not mean a barbeque. It means for us to present clean and sin-free offerings to God for Him to inspect and grade. And to be sin-free, first we must have placed our trust in Christ for dealing with our sin before we came to Him. Second, we must confess every sin that we committed after our day of committing our lives to Christ. Given many continued to sin in the old ways. This must stop. We must repent. And as a people set apart for His purpose, it is our pleasure to long for Father to grade us with our assignments. Father begins by looking into our hearts and then into our foreheads (our purposes, are they set right?) and then our right eye (are our affections set right?) and last but not least, looking at to examine our right hand (righteousness, is it from God?). These things are important. For the man who shall be banned from eternity has his mark of the beast on his forehead (his purpose in life) and his right hand (his source of righteousness).
While many Christians are anticipating the man of lawlessness, as much as they are speculating the identity of the antichrist, is it Putin? Trump? Kushner? Charles? yada yada, they are blindsided. In order for this sequence to take place, it is a fact that casualties will be taken from within their wild branch — the gentile Church.
The truth is, from among the Church many will be tossed out by God. The bride that is dressed in bright white linen will be safe and she remains. The parable in Matthew 25 that mentions the ten virgins is multi-faceted. While all ten waited for the Bridggroom, five failed due to their foolishless. Five were ushered into the door for having the oil to burn and light to give in the dark.
Here are some of the reasons that a distillation will occur from among the Church in the last days.
A. Salt that has lost its savor. Matthew 5
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt becomes tasteless, by what will it be made salty? It is good for nothing any longer except to be thrown outside and[c] trampled under foot by people.
B. Bad fruits. Matthew 7
15 “Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inside are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits: they do not gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles, do they?[d] 17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree is not able to produce bad fruit, nor a bad tree to produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 As a result, you will recognize them by their fruits.
C. No fruit to bear and Father does not find them. John 15
1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch that does not bear fruit in me, he removes it, and every branch that bears fruit, he prunes it in order that it may bear more fruit.
D. No evidence to produce for growth. Matthew 25
26 But his master answered and[t] said to him, ‘Evil and lazy slave! You knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather from where I did not scatter seed.[u] 27 Then you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and when I[v] returned I would have gotten back what was mine with interest! 28 Therefore take the talent from him and give it[w] to the one who has the ten talents.
E. Unconfessed sins and those breaking the Law. Matthew 13
41 The Son of Man will send out his angels and they will gather 👉🏼 out of his kingdom 👈🏼 all the causes of sin and those who do lawless deeds👈🏼, 42 and throw them into the fiery furnace.[a] In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth! 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.[b] The one who has ears, let him hear!
F. Servants found to be away from his tasks and assignments on the day of the “Rapture”. Matthew 24
50 the master of that slave will come 👉🏼on a day that he does not expect and at an hour that he does not know, 51 and will cut him in two and assign his place with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!
If every person who says they are saved all end up in heaven, then the Bible would not be 66 books long. Unfortunately, the Bible is like a gold mine that everybody knows is a spot that contains untold realms of glory, not even half study it to find training and the truth for eternity. For fans of NFL, a new season’s training camp ends in cuts, for analogy.
He who endures to the end the same will be saved.
